Special Purpose Trusts
Hamilton Trust Company Limited can provide trustee and trust administration services for special purpose vehicle established using one or more Bermuda purpose trusts for a variety of purposes including:
- For semi-charitable purposes where the purposes of the trust have a charitable objective but are not strictly defined as charitable under common law
- To hold commercial assets
- For employee share incentive schemes
- For securitization purposes
- As an escrow agent in the sale of a company
- To hold shares in a “private” company established to act as trustee of related family trusts
- To hold the controlling shares in a publicly listed company.
In some of the transactions described above directors and officers and fiduciary administration and corporate services are required for companies in the structure and Hamilton Trust Company Limited can also provide these services.
